Winner of the 2008 BUFVC Learning on Screen Award (Courseware and Curriculum), Flirt English is a Footstep Productions concept, designed to persuade young people back to Language Learning. It has been described as "addictive", "unusual" and "serious fun". Some schools in Germany even found children, who weren't actually studying English, turning up in the English lessons just to watch the programmes!
In a "soap" style format, the programmes mix both English and German, to hook even the most reluctant learner. The programmes can be viewed online and students can also play the Flirt English Game, (winner of a Gigamaus Award for best online project). http://www.planet-schule.de/sf/multimedia-lernspiele-detail.php?projekt=flirt-english
The project can be adapted for a variety of audiences from teens to young professionals and in any combination of languages. Footstep is happy to discuss adapting their format to suit other publishers' requirements.
